Club Level vs Juniors Level:

Acceleration Volleyball is offering 2 levels. 14-18U will only offer club level teams. 13U and younger will consistent of junior level teams.

Club level teams will offer a more competitive level of play, 2 team coaches, more travel, longer season and practices, and a larger apparel package. If you would like more information, please refer to each individual team page - where more information is provided.

Tryout Process

During the tryout, coaching staff will run a variety of drills including passing, setting, hitting, serving, etc. along with some structured team play - where every athlete has the opportunity to show teamwork, leadership, communication and attitude. Athletes will be evaluated by skill level along with vertical and agility testing for 13's-18's.

Selection Policy

It is a mission at Acceleration Volleyball to provide a quality program to push athletes to the next level by playing at a more competitive level. During tryouts, coaching staff will be evaluating athletes by the following criteria:

• Athletic ability and potential

• Desire to improve volleyball skills and knowledge

• Current volleyball skills

• Ability for player to fill a position or need on the team

• Attitude

• Desire to play volleyball at the high school varsity level and beyond

 

It is a goal at Acceleration Volleyball to produce a team that will compete in front of college coaches. Coaches will be looking for the best volleyball players to push this team to a high level of play.  

Not every player will be a right fit for our club and vice versa.

Selection Process

During the tryouts, AVB coaches evaluate, rank and select players to fill open positions.
Selection decisions will be made by the end of the week following tryouts.

 

**Additional evaluations may be offered during the week following tryouts if there are spots left to fill on the team.

Commitment Policy

At AVB, we believe that parents and players participating in club volleyball should choose the program that best suits their needs. Accordingly, AVB encourages players and parents to ask questions and discuss with our coaches to learn about our program before tryouts via email (avbfire@gmail.com).

Our coaching and training knowledge, as well as our dedication to individual player development, will make AVB Fire a good choice for those athletes who want to play volleyball in college.

If you are extended a position and are sure you want to play with AVB, we are happy to accept your commitment immediately. If you are considering another offer, you are welcome to communicate your final decision within 2-6 hours of your offer being sent to you (depending on what time of the day your offer is sent out), as we need a definite answer to determine which positions will be filled.
