Coaching Experience
I have 5 years of club coaching experience at various age levels and have had the opportunity to bring 1 team to Nationals. This will be my 4th year coaching with AVB. I am excited to get back on the court again this year!
Playing Experience
I began playing volleyball in 5th grade and was on varsity for 4 years at St. Cloud Apollo. I then took 4 years off to serve in the United States Navy. When I came back and began college, I played 2 years at the St. Cloud Technical & Community College. I continue to play in leagues when time permits.
Why I Coach
I had a couple coaches throughout my volleyball career that really helped me become the player and person that I am today. I love the opportunity to help young women grow as women while also helping them better themselves as athletes in a sport they enjoy. Watching these young women learn new skills and become successful with them both on and off the court is very rewarding. I love being around a sport that has played such a large role in my life and I always look forward to what the athletes teach me each season. I strive to be a positive coach with a fun and focused learning environment for these young women.
Future Plans/Interests
I would love to open a Wildlife Sanctuary or find a job with an already established sanctuary or conservation-type facility.
Current Hobies
I am currently a full-time nanny, which I really enjoy. I also like to play volleyball, watch hockey, go for walks/hikes with my pups, and spend time with my family/friends.
