Coaching Experience
Last winter I was a co-coach for the 16’s team for Central Lakes Juniors up in Brainerd. This fall I am currently co-coaching the freshmen team at Saint Cloud Apollo High School.
Playing Experience
I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade and continued playing through college. I played club volleyball for Cathedral Crusaders, SOAR and Granite City. I played three years of varsity volleyball and was a two-year captain at Apollo. Throughout high school I also participated in summer camps and leagues. This past year I played college volleyball at Central Lakes and was planning to continue for the second year but COVID cancelled our season.
Why I Coach
I decided to start coaching so I could continue staying involved in the volleyball community. I also wanted to pass down the knowledge of volleyball that I had received from my coaches to the next generation of volleyball players. Lastly is I wanted to see each player that I coached get better throughout the season.
Future Plans/Interests
My plan for the future is to continue my education at Saint Cloud State, and major in Sports Management. With my degree I plan to be an athletic director at a high school or university or become a sports agent for professional athletes. I also plan to continue being active in volleyball and continue coaching at different levels.
Current Hobies
When I am not working or going to school I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I also enjoy reading, shopping, traveling and getting together with others to play volleyball.
