AVB COVID-19 POLICY
Acceleration Volleyball is committed to providing a safe environment for our athletes to practice and compete. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to following recommendations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), MN Department of Health (MDH), and WHO. We will continue to modify our policies as dictated by these governing bodies.
SCREENING:

Athletes and coaches will be self screening for symptoms. If athletes or coaches have any of the following symptoms they should not be attending volleyball.

COVID symptoms that mandate that players do not come to volleyball: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chills, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.
SYMPTOMS/EXPOSURE/POSITIVE CASES:

If a player has a fever or any of the above symptoms, they will be sent home.

If a player has tested positive for COVID AND/OR if a someone within the player's household tests positive for COVID, they must quarantine for 5 days from the onset of their symptoms and/or from their positive test result, whichever came first. After the 5 day quarantine, if the player is symptom free, the player can return to volleyball but must mask for an additional 5 days.

If a player is exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID, it is recommended that they mask for 10 days following their exposure.
HAND SANITIZER & HAND WASHING:

Hand sanitizer will be made available in the gym. Please wash your hands and use hand sanitizers before/after and throughout the duration of playing.

**All athletes will be required to agree with our liability waiver on the registration forms in order to participate in any AVB activities.
